How to Send Notifications in Bobok (School Dashboard)
Overview
The Push Notification feature in Bobok allows schools to instantly communicate important updates to students, parents, and drivers. This ensures real-time communication, safety alerts, and smooth coordination.
You can send notifications to:
- Individual students
- A specific class/grade
- The entire school
- Selected drivers
Where to Find This Feature
- Log in to the Bobok School Dashboard
- Navigate to:
Notifications Management - Click the yellow “Send Notification” button (top-right)
Step 1: Choose Notification Type
After clicking Send Notification, you will see 4 options:
1. Individual Student(s)
👉 Use this when sending to specific students only
Steps:
- Select Individual Student(s)
- Choose student(s) from the list
- Enter:
- Notification Title
- Notification Body
- Click Send Notification
📌 Best for: Absence alerts, specific instructions, individual communication
2. Class / Grade
👉 Send to an entire class or grade

- Select Class / Grade
- Choose:
- Class
- Grade
- Enter:
- Notification Title
- Notification Body
- Click Send Notification
📌 Best for: Class updates, exam notices, schedule changes
3. Entire School
👉 Broadcast to everyone
Steps:
- Select Entire School
- Enter:
- Notification Title
- Notification Body
- Click Send Notification
📌 Best for: Holiday announcements, emergency alerts, general updates
4. Individual Driver(s)
👉 Send to one or more drivers
Steps:
- Select Individual Driver(s)
- Choose driver(s)
- Enter:
- Notification Title
- Notification Body
- Click Send Notification

Step 2: Write Effective Notifications
Notification Title
- Keep it short and clear
- Example: “School Holiday”
Notification Body
- Provide clear instructions or information
- Example:
“Tomorrow 02 March has been declared as holiday by the School”
Viewing Sent Notifications
All sent notifications will appear in the table with:
- Title
- Description
- Target (recipients)
- Created Date
Use:
- Search bar → Find specific notifications
- Entries dropdown → Adjust number of records per page (10,25, 50, 100)

- Always verify recipients before sending
- Keep messages clear and concise
- Avoid sending duplicate notifications
- Use appropriate category (don’t send school-wide if only one class is affected)
- Double-check spelling and timing
